In Your Hands is a national initiative to combat the phenomenon of shaken babies, resulting in abusive head trauma (‘Shaken baby syndrome’). It was established in 2015 by the National Council for the Child and the Haruv Institute, in cooperation with the Israel Schusterman Foundation and the Mehalev Initiative.
This is an innovative initiative, aimed at raising awareness among parents, caregivers, medical professionals, early childhood educators, and social workers about the dangers of shaking babies and the severe health damages that may result from it, as well as to assist and teach effective and safe techniques to deal with crying and soothe babies.
